Setting The Rules...

Ok so today I have decided to lay down some ground rules regarding my cutting down on sleepwear for the next 12 months challenge. We all know the best way to quit some thing is to gradually reduce rather than going cold turkey, so I have decided rule number 1 is I am allowed one new pair of pyjamas or nightie every quarter. This will only add 4 new pairs to the collection in the 12 months. As I am not a major fan of winter pyjamas I am still deciding if my winter allowance can be banked and used at another time ie SUMMER when my Peter Alexander habit is at it’s worst.

I also have noticed Peter does have a habit of bringing out a Disney collection around September each year, now, I am a Disney nut... I spent my 30th birthday in Disneyland and I also had an unbirthday dinner in Sydney before I left which was themed you guessed it Alice in Wonderland. So maybe I could allow a bonus item if the Disney collection comes out again... I am still working on that one though nothing is set in stone yet.

Wednesday at lunch I did challenge myself I walked past my favourite PA store, mid city centre and they had a big sign out the front 20% off all sale items. As I walked through the doors I was immediately struck by the Bambi, Alice in Wonderland and Little Mermaid Pyjamas that were missing from my collection. Moving further into the store I was  taken by the gorgeous new Navy/ Sailor inspired collection, they had a little shortie set $69 with Navy bottoms similar to a pair I brought in last years Paris collection and the top was loose singlet style square neck with little sailor girls that reminded me of Lucy from Peanuts, each girl was holding a letter which I think spelled out Peter Alexander. I also noticed  they had 1 pair of Wonder Woman pyjamas in my size $49 minus 20% normally I would say it was meant to be and snap them up immediately but no I stayed strong and left the store with out making a single purchase.

I am a little proud of myself to be quite honest. I saw 5 pairs of Pyjamas I would have loved and stayed strong and didn’t buy anything. I did however order a pair of lace beach pants from Erin Louise that will be perfect for my trip to Hawaii but I’m allowed as I am not cutting all shopping out.

3 days down and I am VERY proud to say:

Sleepwear purchased: 0

Visits to store: 1

  1. You should just ask for PA jammies for your birthday if they come out with a second collection? (Or have people buy them for Christmas and save them until then) xoxo

    You own tooooo many pajamas!
